DescriptionPlease correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this might be Paolo's first original independent comic for himself.This pencil piece is very detailed but a little cluttered; However, when you look at the color print, the colorist does a great job of reducing the clutter and focusing your eyes on the two main combatants. It's really amazing how color can transform the focal point of a piece. Social/Sharing |

Being an early work of an artist tends to bring out the over exhaustive linework as thats' what they think will put them over the top. They soon learn it's the clarity in storytelling is just as important. Still a very impressive feat with so many characters.

Good point! How many times have we seen artists that give their all for each publisher only to get burnt out later in their careers, producing artwork with much less detail as they get older.
