Description
This page has Ms. Tree considering the morality of beauty pageants and discovers that there is something even more deadly in the mix. Ms. Tree appears in all six panels. Ms. Tree was extraordinary in that it frequently dealt with controversial political and sexual issues, yet never used that as a venue to push a particular biased opinion.

Astute observations about the racism Americans had towards the first Black Miss America in 1984.  Vanessa Williams' nude photos were published in Penthouse towards the end of her reign made her relinquish her crown.
