Description

My exclusive client Damon, this being his 126th job, sent me this themed commission where he has an artist recreate a sequential scene from the published original by another artist. The og artist was Gabriele Dell'Otto but IDK what Avengers source this was from. I last inked Chris Marrinan in 2015 on one of his Brotherhood-themed jobs so this is my 2nd time over him. Chris gives all the info an inker needs, however, even with reference material, there are extraneous lines in the pencils making it difficult to make out the designs of the characters which seemed inconsistent if not impossible. I had to change details to closer match Damon's ref but not every time without having to redrawn figures. But I did try to clean up and enhance the textures and SFX to result in a better product. This was my 31st Thing commission but from the "D-Listers" (Devil-Slayer, D-Man, Anti-Venom, Ethan Edwards, and Century), I don't recall inking any of them before but if I did it was probably on a long ago Damon commission with multiple obscure characters. This was completed April 12 using my usual markers and additional white & black ink spatter with a toothbrush and white finger smudging and some line zip.
