Hulk by Bruce Timm & Bob Almond: Blueline Commission

Hulk fan client Danny Kiihnl returns to my commissions gallery for his 8th inking job and my 23rd Hulk. This time it's a Bruce Timm pencil sketch, my first opportunity over him to render ink finishes over bluelines on 11"x17" 2-ply Joe Kubert Art Store board which I believe I blew up from the og measurements of 9"x12". I was trying out different markers on this one such as the Kuretake Bimoji brush pen, the Pilot Shunpitsu pocket soft brush pen, Zebra disposable brush pen, and some older mainstays like a Kuretake disposable pocket brush pens and Sakura micron markers. I looked at some examples of Bruce inking himself on other Hulks to get the gist of what he was going for with his Kirbyesque take on the classic character but, after immersing myself, ultimately I approached it on my own. I honestly don't know if I did Timm justice but this was a fun and challenging experience. Completed April 19, 2025.
