Description

Ink on board artwork for a story published in a children's annual in the UK, most likely in the 1930s/ 40s. These are three panels glued together which would have appeared separately throughout the story.

The story is a fairy tale involving a number of golden things - including a golden city, a princess with golden hair and a knight with golden armour. The first page of the original typed manuscript is shown in the additional images.

The illustrator is K.M. Waterson who also illustrated some Enid Blyton stories.
