Description

Original artwork for a story published in at least one edition of the British annual 'Our Girls' Yarns' (see photos in additional images) and probably other titles/editions as well.

I have dated this provisionally as 1946 as a dedication in a copy of the annual that I found is dated 1946, but the first publication could have been earlier.

Some schoolgirls come across a primitive artifact that looks a little like a grumpy Buddha.

These panels are presented together but were distributed separately throughout the story in the published version.

I can't currently trace the artist but will update when I do.
