Amazing Spider-Man #69 pg 9 (2025)

From 'The 8 Deaths of Spider-Man' comes this great ALL DOOM page! Sorcerer Supreme Doom and Dr. Strange are dealing with some of the chaos caused by the Scions of Cyttorak when Strange turns on Doom and gets zapped for his insolence!

I don't know what it is, but replacing Dooms typical cloak with Dr. Strange's just really works for me. I've always loved the yellow border with all the squiggles. You'd think the red might clash with the green hood and tunic, but it just sort of works. We all know the cloak likely won't be his for long, so it's really cool getting to own a page like this with such a powerful image of Doom.

McGuinness knows how to make Doom look menacing without looking clunky. He's also evolved a lot over the years. Once upon a time, even skinny characters like Spider-Man looked extra thicc when he drew them, but Dr. Strange is appropriately sized here. We also get a little bit of the "cartoony" look that McGuinness has in the Strange's face in the second panel. Just a great page over all.
