Description
Following previous posts of 2 other pages from this fun and superbly drawn story, here is the last page I own from it.

In the first panel, Jennifer’s aunt is trying to get her son to kill her. I had forgotten that this story was a big family feud.

In the second panel, you can feel the hesitation on the grotesque muscle-bound adversary as he is resisting his mother order to kill She-Hulk. In that regard, I love that his stare is slightly not aligned, Homer Simpson style, which I assume was intentional on Gammill’s part to underline his confusion. The figure work on the unconscious She-Hulk is exceptional as well.

As She-Hulk is coming to, the third panel is notable for both the staging and the depth it offers with so many elements and figure crammed in the fore/middle and background.

The fourth panel is probably the money shot of the page with again fantastic figure work on a struggling She-Hulk whose pain as she is forcing herself to move is palpable.

Then we get a nice shot of Jennifer’s father before an intense close-up on her mad auntie as she hesitates using her gun. A small detail that I love is that her nose is delineated by a tiny strip of zipatone. I don’t know if Kerry put that in of if it was the inker but that’s clearly devotion to the craft.

And then the cliffhanger panel in the 7th (which vertically mirrors the 3rd) as Shulkie heroically acts to save the day. Again, tons of info in this one to indicate the surprise of both the bodybuilder and his falling mother while the arc made by shulkie’s thrown beam leads the eye of the reader to the extreme right and invites to turn the page.

As often, a very strong performance by Kerry Gammill who is this time around very aptly inked (just look at the lushness of her hair throughout the page for one).

(with now 3 down, only 8 to go? One can dream ^^)

fantastic Gammill page with nice panels throughout. that intense close up panel with the gun really stands out to me and I like how each panel of She-Hulk offers a different type of view and action. will have to go back and check out your other pages from this story! congrats.

I'll echo everyone else praising Gammill's work here.  You could always count on him to deliver excellent artwork that served the story well.

Congrats on finally sharing all your pages from this story. It was a fun one and always exciting to see Gammill's 80's work!

I was thrilled that Gammill replaced Byrne on Superman, given how JB's art had really degraded by that point. Very underrated.

Mothers and fathers made this so personal!  Gammill and Rubinstein's art brought all the pain and anguish to the page!

Gorgeous Kerry Gammill page with the She-Hulk for Marvel Fanfare. Well composed page with the massively bulked-up Mr. Galaxy, having knocked out the She-Hulk, refusing his mother's demand that he kill her. Beautifully drawn fourth panel as the battered She Hulk, lying stretched out on the floor, reaches surreptitiously for an I-Beam to fight back. I also loved the sixth panel as the evil mother aims her revolver at the poor Mr. Galaxy. Terrific inks by Joe Rubinstein really bring the panels to life. Great pick-up, congrats!
