Description

A later example of a strip tied to the birth of comics. Both features were favorites since the turn of the century with Happy Hooligans starting in 1900 and Maude a few short years later. Opper stopped working on the strip in 1932 and was known for not using any assistants.

Fun example of what made Sundays of the time such a prestigious spot for an artist. Two large strips on a full page with as wide a circulation as there was at the time.
