Description
Matt sold me this and the Grendel piece because he ran out of time to do my commission. They were his example pieces from the board behind him. I was more than happy with the trade off.

Well chosen base color paper!  Wagner's deep color pencils of green and black should be lauded in how they make this look very natural.

The degree of control that Matt is able to wield with his colored pencils is a super-power in and of itself.  I mean, look at how he acommodates the arc of the top half of the bow along GA's right leg.  He just lets the colors do the work for him and doesn't over-illustrate.  Same with the white lighting on GA's right and left arms, or nocked arrowhead... just a great artist working (playing!) with tools that he has long since mastered to produce a deceptively complex piece that just _feels_ easy (as intended, like a great pop song).  So, so, SO good, Indy!  Congrats!
