Unpublished cover art for JSA #60 by Ethan Van Sciver (pencils & inks).

This Justice Society of America fully rendered cover is widely regarded by collectors as more visually compelling than the version ultimately chosen for publication. EVS delivers a stronger composition, tighter anatomy, and more dramatic staging�resulting in a piece many consider the superior cover for Issue #60.

Nice renditions of the JSA characters. The Spectre is particularly Grim-Reaper-like. It's also so interesting to see the blue lines for the layouts, with the inks really being very different to some of the layout indications. Good cover.

Evs did a great job at showing us what it would actually look like to have super-heroes on a crime scene, gathering elements to solve the crime. I like that both Terrific and Midnight, the two more "intellectual" characters among them, are studying it while the others are just letting them.
