DescriptionOriginal Cover Art - Giuseppe Festino (Italian, * 1943).The volume _Nova SF #67 by Perseo Libri is an italian science fiction paperback titled La signora della luce (The Lady of Light)and is an anthology of various science fiction stories, including the titular story "The Lady of Light" by Jack Williamson. The series is known for publishing classic and contemporary Anglo-American science fiction short stories and novellas. Giuseppe Festino is an italian professional illustrator who started to work in the 1960s.The 1980s and 1990s marked a pivotal era for Festino’s career as he received notable commissions to design covers for URANIA, one of Italy’s leading science fiction series. Utilizing acrylic paints, he maintained a stylistic continuity with previous artists while infusing his unique flair into each cover. He also illustrated many covers of the Italian ROBOT series. I met his son Federico close to Copenhagen in Denmark. I was impressed by the story and a few artworks Federico was able to show me. I really liked the style and bought a few... Psychedelic effect to those various patterns that play off each other amongst the vibrant colors and an overall eye appealing design sensibility. A beautiful cover!
