DescriptionFrom an extremely important run to me. Divisive amongst Legion fans but the peak of my fandom for the title. A neophyte Jason Pearson, it was love at first sight.Social/Sharing |

Man, this is going back some. I mean, in terms of Jason's career. I think this predates Body Bags by about 5-6 years. Very interesting page. Stylistically speaking, I don't see a whole lot of Pearson here. But that could also be about the inker (Michael Christian) who I've never ever heard of. Well, you know what they say. From humble beginnings..........

Super rare with the cross interest of Legion fans and Pearson fans! I like that he's following the lead of Giffen and doing the 9 panel page with plenty of silhouettes and plenty of details.

Pearson's artistic progression curve on LOSH was insane, clearly helped by Giffen's layouts and 9 panels grid.

I was one of those old time Legion fans that hated this new direction. But as they say time brings perspective, and I progressed to acceptance and to love. Great intro for Jason! Congrats!

It was such a dramatic shift. I definitely understand the divide. Glad you came around though!

Extremely interesting use of the repeat panel and very reliance of the silhouetted figures. Somehow it just all works in the storytelling on this page. Congratulations on this piece from a special story to you and thanks for sharing it with us here!

My bad, there were 4 Legion pages, not 3! Really digging these 9 panel layout pages... No inker listed on this one?

Sweet! Yeah, the Giffen influence/layouts are unmistakable, right? That nine-panel block grid of densely packed panels feels almost like a signature in itself... A strong (and pleasing) black and white balance here (especially in those beautifully staged last three panels), and I love seeing the room Jason left for the word balloons (so everything could just perfectly snap right into place). Neophyte he may have been, but Jason had some truly core essentials down, even at this stage...! Cool pick up, Chris! Congrats!
