I took a few extra minutes really looking at all the details in this piece, very cool commission.
Awesome piece brother! Michel really poured himself into this one! Great way to close out the year.
Anytime you post Brother Voodoo, you get a comment.
A fun and wondrous addition to your Brother Voodoo commission collection, Kahlil. Congratulations on now owning the best piece of art Michel Melki has ever produced!
Oh man, this is a feast for the eyes! Such a fantastic & highly detailed Brother Voodoo illustration. Congrats, K, and Happy New Year!
Absolutely without words. Wow!
Oh very cool! I have to say something nice or I'll be cursed!
This is so impressive, must've took a ton of planning and amazing vision to execute all the intertwining details. Splendid commission, congrats my friend!
Thanks, T! A lot did indeed go into Michel planning this one out as well as executing...he went all out and I was there for the ride.
Thanks, man, and all, for the comments!
Wow man! That's so good!
Such a wild take on the character. I really like those floating skulls.
Damn man! this is dripping with both detail and intensity. Melki brought it big time. Congrats on the amazing commission result and the killer Brother Voodoo piece!
I was going to comment on the Tradd influence, then saw you mentioned it in your description. But for all the Tradd elements, there's also a unique artistic voice showing through. Congrats on the commission!
100%, Kin. Tradd elements but Michel continues to stretch in terms of his unique sensibilities and I think this is primo example. No bias ;)
Thanks for the add!
What in the awesomeness is this?! Sublime!
I love commissions like this, when you can tell an artist had a ton of fun working on it = always a home run. Congrats!!
This is an exceptional piece, man. I told Michel as soon as I laid eyes on it that it was my favorite thing he's ever done. I still stand by that and I'm happy (and jealous) it's in your collection.
Outastanding detail and composition on full display here. Makes for a beauty!
Fantastic detailing, design and composition. Lots to enjoy, congrats!
Jaw-droppingkly detailed commsion of Brother Voodoo by Marco Carrillo. Every time I look at this I see new details I missed before! So cool!
AWESOME piece, K! You know how much I love BV (especially in his Sorcerer Supreme digs) and this take on him is spectacular. Lots of Tradd Moore here, of course, but I also feel a rich vein of Matt Lesniewski running through this, with all of the gradient visual textures (rather than Moore's striking and stark black and white) mixing an intoxicating blend that feels more like a Doctor Voodoo dimensional peek "Into The Mouth Of Madness"... Those floating skulls are absolute fire, along with the shrunken heads and skulls around his belt, and the small brooch-like, stylized Eye of Agamotto clasping the Cloak of Levitation together. Beautiful piece, K! Great pick up!
Ha ha, there was no way YOU weren't going to dig this one as I know we share our like for the Haitian hero! And as rendered by magnificent Melki?! Fergedaboutit! I do see some Allison there now that you mention it, and noting all those elements like you did...Michel poured so much into it. And I continue to pore over it! Thanks for the add, Jason!
Motion and madness...
