Animal Lad by Derec Donovan

Animal Lad aka Ennis Janhson has the ability to transform humans into animals and animals into humans. Ennis auditioned for membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes, but was rejected, not because his abilities were inadequate, but because the Legion had been temporarily taken over by the evil Dynamo Boy. Years later, Ennis somehow became stuck between a lion and human form, and ended up joining the Legion of Substitute Heroes! I asked Derec to draw Ennis in his Superman-inspired costume, and Derec delivered a fierce-looking Animal Lad who is ready and roaring for action! I love the rubble, the pose, and that scary lion face! I think that this take on Ennis would scare most super villains out of their socks! Thanks, Derec!
