Rude did some excellent work on this series. You can see Manning's influence but this is quintessential Rude, who had a real skill with incorporating the influence of other artists while still developing his own style.

Very memorable comic as this crossover of Dark Horse and Valiant had that cool lime green painted cover that showed off how Rude was going into this with classic Gold Key for Magnus in mind! It really shows it here in this page with the inking, the poses, and the robot design to pay tribute to Russ Manning.

I don't recall this comic but Steve Rude is a perfect artist for Magnus. He channels Manning so well but makes it his own. Wish he had done more.
