DescriptionAnother Bronze Age Legionnaire for my Moy card collection! This time I went with Princess Projectra, because I was feeling like my sketch card binder could use a good pop of red. In that vein, I particularly love how the colours pop on this card, especially the magenta of Jeckie's cape, and how the subtle blue and grey shading in her hair makes her head stand out against all the other warm tones in the card. In classic Moy fashion, Jeff certainly did her costume justice, and I appreciate that he was able to squeeze in enough of her arms that you can see the cutouts in her sleeves, too!As he was drawing her, he commented that he'd gone a bit heavy on her eye makeup, which I find gives her a sassier, more glamourous vibe than she normally had in the comics. Given she's from a medieval planet and is fairly new to the more advanced worlds of the 30th century, I like to think she's just having fun experimenting with the wider selection of makeup she now has access to. I also noticed that this is my first sketch card from Jeff with an orange background, which means the only background colour I'm missing now is yellow! Social/Sharing |

Something tells me 2026 will bring Margaret that missing yellow background Moy sketch card for the binder, but congrats on checking off the orange one :) The exposed skin from those sleeve cut outs that you referenced is def a nice touch (and the rest of the exposed skin in her costume ain't bad either, lol).

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret, Kavi: I've already checked off the yellow background, too! I guess Jeff is in a summery mood, lately.
On the subject of all that exposed skin, I guess Jeckie here is feeling a bit summery, too.

The colors aren't the only things that pop. Lots of projection and volume from how Jeff adds gloss.

I did sort of dance around the most obvious thing that "pops" in my writeup, but I knew I could count on you to point it, out, Marcus!
