In the famous words of Michael Corleone...Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in! Fred really went to town on this Ragman, worth getting off the Hembeck sketch card bench for, especially considering the bang for buck factor with this card in particular!
Dammit, why didn't I think of that? Might have to borrow it for the next one. Anyway, thanks for the line feed buddy. Hope your 2026 is off to a good start.
You have chosen wisely :)
Another great line. You guys are so on the ball. Maybe I should start hiring you to write my descriptions from now on.
There is a 12 step program for Hembecks, though steop 6-12 is buy more Hembecks!
Oops! I guess I'm doing this wrong. I thought the FIRST SIX steps was to buy more Hembecks. I'm totally screwed.
I beheld the greatness!!!
Ha! Yes you did. Sadly, you didn't behold much else. Very much enjoyed your visit (thanks again for lunch). Hopefully we get to more artwork next time.
Nice one as Hembeck has to break out of his regular poses to accommodate this unique costume design!
I love the character, mostly for Kubert but Hembeck's art is obviously fun, especially to me when he draws serious or mean characters which is contradicted by his style.
That's very cool!
Nice, but it's gonna be hard to keep that costume clean while eating meatballs.
Forget clean. The guy doesn't even have a slit for his mouth. Hmm, maybe he eats through osmosis.
Yeah, this is a really nice, very detailed Hembeck card! The inside of the cape is fantastic, with the black mottling on top and solid black (with green spots) below. I -really- love the patches of color, though, which such a nice texture and popping out -so- well against the green. And the loopy, ropey tendrils add a great fluidity to the pose. Great eyes, too. :) This is SUPER cool grab, Eric - a winner all around, rewarding one's examination of it at every level (and your defense of Hembeck sketch card collecting (vis a vis the pricing) is iron-clad). Love this! Great grab!
