C'era una volta in America #1 cover (Le Serie Imperdibili 20, 2025) - Mickey, Goofy

The series "C'era una volta in America" (Once upon a time in America), written by Giorgio Pezzin and for the most part illustrated by Massimo De Vita, is one of my all-time favorite series from the pages of Topolino magazine (1994-1999).

It includes 14 different stories featuring Mickey Mouse's fictional ancestors of the same name and intertwined with the history of the United States.

Nearly every episode features ancestors of Goofy and Pete, and Mickey almost always ends up marrying a girl resembling Minnie.

The story starts in 1620 and ends in 1929.

This is the first cover of the reprint of the series in the "Imperdibili" books, and is simply jaw-dropping... Freccero is here putting on the page quite a lot of details (illustration-like) to literally immerse us in that period of time. (Do you love the bear? How could you not!)
