"Ser Paperone e Lorenzo il Magnifico" is the sixth and penultimate chapter in the Saga of "Messer Papero e Ser Paperone", which made its first appearance in Topolino #1430 of April 24, 1983.
The story narrates the adventures in the Sienese land of the descendants of the Florentine exiles Ser Paperone (Scrooge) and Donald Duck, described in great detail by Guido Martina with art by Giovan Battista Carpi.
This is page 6 from the story, and we see the race starting frantically, the superb action, Rockerduck doing foul play, and Donald in huge difficulty. A perfect recreation of the frenzy, speed, challenge of the Palio. Also check the characters' expressions, the dynamism, the humor... Gibì at his best.
