Description
Adding a few pieces I got at OAX last weekend. First thing I want to do is thank Bill and Kasra and the whole team for an outstanding show and event. This show had so many great artists and pieces of art to look at in one place and you could really focus on everything and take it all in. Very intimate setting for talking to each artist and looking at art. But, the best thing was meeting fellow collectors and just hanging out with everyone and sharing your love of art. This I would take over anything. All the folks over east that I never see at SDCC and know of only through YouTube shows and chats. That is the highlight! Very happy to meet Chris Snorek and Chuck Arnold, Tyler T, Jason D, James S, Newell, Rob, Nick, Dan, Tom and all you other thugs there! Of course always happy to see Jeff, Daryl, Ed, Derek and I guess Alberto. I found my long lost son Mikail after so long and Joe and Nadia two of my best friends and longtime breakfast buddies. Although I never saw Marcus but I know the fool was there as he posted pictures daily. Strange? But that's him. I left my bags packed for next year so I know what to take but didn't wash shit so you will remember my smell.
As for the art I picked up mostly pen and ink except for three color pieces. These are those.
My buddy Mark Chiarello brought this beauty for me of my favorite Disney Princess and I love it! I am really happy for all the work he is doing these days. He is a master of mediums and fellow Columbo fan! Just one more thing.... a fucking great person!
This painting was commissioned by Disney for their website.

Getting a Disney piece seems incredibly appropriate given the show's prioximity to the Happiest Place on Earth! Congratulations!

Lovely Maleficent piece and a great photo with you and Mark! They were waiting for you guys to turn around to reveal the Death Of Superman issue art.

P.S.

"Very happy to meet Chris Snorek and Chuck Arnold, Tyler T, Jason D, James S, Newell, Rob, Nick, Dan, Tom and all you other thugs there!"...does that make a thug? I feel honored.

Kavi,

I just forgot to drop your name in my favorites list. You're that and a thug. You are the best my brother!

Nice art. But Chiarello being a Columbo fan leads one to conceive of interesting commission ideas.

I've been saying that Chiarello is one of this indistry's biggest artistic losses since around the early 90's. The world lost so many gorgeous works of art when he decided to switch over to administrative positions.

Gorgeous work from a master of color and design. Thanks for the intro to Chiarello, what a guy!
