1956 DENNIS THE MENACE ORIGINAL ART PAGE NEWSPAPER COMIC STRIP HANK KETCHAM RARE 1950's DAILY

Here is an incredible rarity - the chance to buy the Original Artwork to a very early episode of the syndicated Dennis The Menace newspaper comic strip from the 1950's, by the legendary Hank Ketchum. This is the Original Art to the strip from February 13, 1956. What is even more special is that it is a truly classic example with Dennis and his Dad, and the trademark humor that made the character a classic and legendary icon known the world over! The piece measures approximately 7 1/2" by 9 1/2". Please note as you can see in the picture, it does have some discoloration/staining around the edges, as well as some residue near the top right side from the missing pasteup. You can see in the second picture that there is heavy staining on the back side of the piece, as it looks like it was pasted down at one point, so you can see the residue that was left. However, if the piece were matted and/or framed, you will not see this. It's a great piece of comic strip history from the 50's, that is a rare grail level piece for a Dennis The Menace collector. This is an exceptional and unbelievably rare piece of artwork, that would look fantastic framed and prominently displayed, and would be a true key piece in any collection.
