Maxi Dall'o - Scemma - Slice of Life - OAX '26

I saw Maxi's auction piece, and I loved his style. Mark offered the "Slice of Life" commission, which shows heroes in times of quiet or at rest. Listen, it can't always be Optic Blasts, Sentinels, and TK. I think Maxi captured a great moment. I prompted Cyclops and Jean or Emma, but I definitely insisted on cocktails.

The piece is great. It's got a great Manga feel coming from the collapsed buildings like in Ronin Warriors. Also, from Scott's black visor, which I believe is how it's primarily shown in X-Men manga. I'd like to think Scott's got a nice small batch gin he's pouring. Maybe Bobby makes those ice cubes in the field and chills the champagne?

A terrific piece from Maxi! It was great to meet him and see Mark again at OAX. Cheers to them both!
