Darth Vader Cake Break by Sharon Snyder

The Dueling Dealers of Comic Art reached an incredible milestone in December 2022 when they broadcast their 100th episode. To celebrate Bill and CAF partnered with Nick and Dynamite Entertainment in early 2023 to bring the live streamed show onto an actual comic. The three limited variant covers to Vampirella vs Red Sonja #1 feature the likenesses of Bill Cox, Mike Burkey, and Anthony & Sharon Snyder, alongside Vampirella and Red Sonja. Like the Kickstarter for the Dueling Dealer trading cards, a sketch card reward tier was offered.

My luck struck twice on CAF Kickstarter rewards! Sharon once again drew my name in the pool. My usual prompt of “Star Wars, artist’s choice” gave the spark, but Sharon made it all her own merging her traditional art and culinary talents. Here she tames the Dark Lord of the Sith and renders him as her baking assistant delegated to slicing desserts with a laser cake knife. Superb!
