Mike Ploog - Classics Illustrated: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer pg 1 Title Page (1994)

Another one of my collections is Mark Twain first editions and years ago I purchased the End Page of Mike Ploog's art and adaptation. I've managed it only a couple times but I get a small joy from having the bookends of a title and end page to a story. So when I saw this I had to grab it....plus it's Mike Ploog doing Mark Twain....what an interesting pairing.

Plus....just look at it...I dare say, it's kinda beautiful.

SO BEHOLD!!! A Ploog Twain and an adventure of boy hoods In a bygone era that still remains as relevant today as when it was written...one of Twain's special talents...maybe his most special.
