Max Fiumara, Spider-man vs. Green Goblin

There were a lot of great pieces of art in the 2026 OAX charity auction but this one caught my eye weeks before the show. Max Fiumara is one of the unsung heroes creating comic greatness in today's industry of copycat and homage artists. I first jumped on the Max train when I saw his work on Four Eyes 15+ years ago and his breadth of work has only continued to grow; so has his craft.  From Hellboy, Abe Sapien, B.P.R.D., Lucifer, Amazing Spider-man and The Sacrificers you can't help but be drawn in to the creative page layouts and impecible line work.

I love the perspective on this illustration and the goblin's face takes me back to early Ditko.

OAX was great getting the opportunity to talk with Max about his work. He even took the time to show me the roughs and sketches in his moleskin where he was figuring out how he wanted to make the illustration. I am very blessed to have had that experience and look forward to when I can get time with him again in the future.
