Description

Sorceress Summons Demon.  Sketch #079 from Lost Worlds of Fantasy & Science Fiction, volume 5.

Perfectly staged illustration that maximizes the mood and tone of the scene.

Maybe I need to rethink the way I’m going about this.  I mean, I like these little Hoffman sketches as much as the next guy but buying them three at a time is a probably a bit much.  Even though the price/quality/fun ratio of these pieces makes sense, there’s still something to be said about pacing oneself.  Haha!

So this is the second group of three I’ve purchased and, unlike the first time, this was no accident.  I guess it would help if I didn’t place multiple bids whenever a new group of pieces pops up for sale.  Apparently Hoffman is taking a lesson from Hembeck and his constant barrage of auctions (or maybe Mike was doing it first, I don’t know).  I’ve never had a drug problem, a drinking problem, or a gambling problem.  And I’m pretty sure I’m not a shopaholic (although I do spend an unusual amount of time browsing on Amazon).  But apparently I’m an art addict.  Oh well.  Until someone establishes Art Addicts Anonymous or creates a 12-step program for this problem (OR I run out of money), you’ll be seeing a few more of these.
