Original final artwork by Brian Bysouth for various one-sheet posters for Richard Franklin's horror Link. This lot comes from the personal collection of Brian Bysouth. The film centres on a behavioural research student who becomes trapped in a remote mansion with a dangerously intelligent chimpanzee, blending psychological tension with dark humour; it has since developed a cult reputation for its unsettling premise and performances. The artwork is painted in gouache on an illustration board, with two paper protective overlays-one opaque, the other translucent-and a third protective layer made of plastic. This artwork was used for various one-sheet posters, including those produced in Britain, Germany, and Spain, as well as for the packaging of physical media releases of the film. Bysouth has signed the piece in pink ink. The accompanying print of the artwork is signed by Bysouth on the front and the reverse. Sold without copyright; see copyright notice in the Terms and Conditions.
The lot exhibits minor edge wear to the board, while both paper protective layers display tears along their lower edges. The print exhibits several minor creases.
Estimate: £500 - 1000
