Nick Cardy, besides being the creator of beautiful art, was an absolutely wonderful man and an absolute delight to talk to. He called to be sure that I liked his work!

BTW, Carmine Infantino said in
his book that Nick and Joe Kubert were the best of the Silver Age. They are certainly two of my favorites as you can see

While I think my version is the best (love his pencils and the star burst) this design was used by Nick several other times. The most noticeable is the cover of
