Werewolf by Night # 5 Cover Preliminary

Great Ploog layout! Fairly close to the final cover with a tight design. Cover prelims give so much enjoyment and for a fraction of the price. 

Well it's a dog eat dog.

I also see a Bad Moon Rising!

Am I the only one who thinks this design looks better than the published cover design?

Thank you for mentioing this; I also prefer the preliminary design to the published version! 

I especially like the front-facing Werewolf as well as the dog that is pulling the pant leg from behind Wolfie! I also prefer the moss covered tree limb overhanging the scene to the open overhead of the published cover. 

It's tough to see in the scan, but Mike did lightly sketch in the soldier firing the gun in the prelim; I do wish he would have gone with this version for the published cover.  Perhaps it was an editorial decision to go with a less violent scene for the final cover... 

PLOOG WWBN and GR are imprinted on my brain.  I love Perlin but PLOOG was and is the GO to for these creatures! THIS IS SUCH a Gem~!  Congrats!
