7.25x20.25" thin artboard contains original art pencils and inks (w/screentone accents) for the Christmas day, Dec. 25, 1962 Bullwinkle daily comic strip. Strip features main characters Rocky and Bullwinkle, Boris, Natasha and Fearless Leader singing a zany rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas. Original art is by Alfred R. Kilgore (1927-1983), who signed his work Al Kilgore, was an American artist who worked on the Bullwinkle comic strip for the Bell-McClure Syndicate between 1962 and 1967. A syndicated daily newspaper comic strip titled Bullwinkle which began on July 23, 1962 w/original stories that ran until 1965. Artboard has lt. aging/handling wear w/lt. margin soiling. Screentone is still clear but one piece is missing on Natasha's songbook, leaving a tint on board. Still Exc.
