Fifth piece in my commission series with pbbeta, this time depicting the mythical Master of the Garden from the Nausicaä manga.
Previous pieces were A4 size, but for this one pbbeta wanted to show more of the Garden as a background, with the old-fashioned windmill and surrounding area, he's the Master of the Garden after all, and suggested doing an A3 piece. She even did a beautiful personal piece, The temple city of Leda, to test inking on A3 in preparation for this.
There's a slight difference between the inking in the actual page vs. the digital final which pbbeta offered to remove in the original if I so desired, the cross-hatching on his face, but I'm a fan of these 'imperfections' that illustrate the creative process so I told her to leave it as is.
