George Perez (?) and Rick Magyar - New Teen Titans #7 p14

Early page from the classic Wolman/Perez "New Teen Titans", featuring Robin, Starfire, Changeling (Albeit being zapped in the face) and the Fearsome Five's Shimmer (on the ground) and resident genius Gizmo (proving both that small can be deadly and a man with enough pockets covering every inch of his costume can finally have more weapons than a member of the Bat-clan wearing a slim utility belt. Who makes those things? The same guys as manufacture the Tardis?)

This page is a real oddity, terrific, but an oddity. It appears to be inks on paper, traced from over George Perez original pencils.

There are no speech balloons, but the art underneath where they were placed on the produced page is completely consistent with the surroundings, suggesting it really was traced from the original. However Rick Magyar, though a respected inker, wasn't the credited inker on this issue (Romeo Tanghal was) and there are minor stylistic differences between this and the final version.

A test piece perhaps? I'd love to know more about it.

The original is somewhat dicscoloured, but a little work has restored it to close to what it's original shades must have been.
