Grell Commission - Inks

I was commissioned to do this piece by a huge Ekos (Aspen Comics) fan. He had this idea of having the main character of Ekos (Grell) being at the end of a line at the Aspen studio, with various Marvel and DC characters cutting in infront of him, mirroring Aspen's collaboration with both Marvel and DC, leaving Ekos on the back-burner. The idea was simple enough, but I had to "rearrange" it a bit. It's all tongue in cheek and not to be taken seriously. After I'd shown the pencils I was commissioned to ink it, something that I'm very happy that I was asked for as I think the inks made the whole thing just come together and pop out.
