This was the first thing I saw from Neal Adams. From that moment I loved both Adams' art and Green Lantern. Congratulations on a GREAT piece, Scott.

One of my favorite covers all time... a "Grail" piece for me... not only do I envy you for working so long in the biz with Jim Lee... now I envy your art collection... Scott Williams... aka one lucky bastard... keep up the great work Scott!

My first Green Lantern Green Arrow comic. Just curious...if we lift this image, is Neal's rejected illustration underneath?

Nope, the rejected cover is a completely separate original, owned by a well known collector.

Wow Scott. Browsing through your collection is like strolling through the Forest of Grails, each more impressive than the next. One can't really pick a favorite amongst these, because they are all so beautiful. However, this cover, with its stunning imagery may be one of the most iconic and memorable that you own. It not only captures the percolating angst of the country at the time, but also Adams at the height of his abilities redefining the medium for all who would follow. Simply unbelievable. Congrats!

I'm not the first person to say this, but while other artists were doing great work at this time, Adams, with O'Neil's help, went a step further and really tried to expand the social consciences of little impressionable minds like mine. Also, having grown up in the South, I can testify that this issue was quite radical at the time. It's also interesting to see the influence of Muhammad Ali on the look and feel of John Stewart and his cover dialog. I'm in awe of this cover and your collection.

Neal Adams!!! What a time this was for comics and Comic Art. Adams work is so fluid and powerful, it makes you gasp! Congratz again. This is fantastic!

This is why I went Green long ago! Green Lantern that is! Not only was Neal's work beautiful, it had a gritty realism to it at the time. Before there was Frank Miller, their was Neal Adams! Love the Ali influence of the iconic pose also. This was a radical comic in that era also. Congrads! WOW!

Just read the comic again last night, so I thought I'd stop by and tip my cap to this amazing cover by my all time favorite artist. Still hoping to get my hands on a nice vintage Adams in my lifetime. But of course I'm not stupid enough to hold my breath. LOL

This piece is so mind-numbingly great that it is almost antagonistic that you posted it in your gallery!

Seeing this cover made me a life long Neal Adams fan back in 1980 at a comic con in NY, it was shocking how powerful it was compared to the other covers surrounding it, I had to buy it no matter what the inside was like, the hallmark of what a great cover is suppose to do.

The artworks nice...However, after reading the comics recently, the stories have aged very badly, being full of preachy 1970s lectures masquerading as entertainment. Lol.
