In Gilbert's ongoing tale of the inhabitants of South American small town Palomar, the heroine Luba, finally emmigrates to the US. Here she meets up with her recently discovered two sisters Petra and Fritz.

This long story is collected in 3 collected works, the latest being Luba - The three daughters..
The Majority of the story follows Petra and Fritz's love lives, and the histories of all of the sisters. Luba goes back in time and sees her sisters as girls. Fritz leaves therapy and becomes a b-grade movie actress. Guadalupe tries to move on after Gato's death. Pipo and Fritz's relationship develops further. And they all tie in to the next generation too. We see Venus grow into a young woman and Guadalupe finally come to terms with her life. And most of all, we get to see how it all ends for the wonderful cast that we know and love.
