Description
Here is a really cool favorite of mine from the era...the Comic Book Greats video series! This happened right when everything was hitting the fan...X-Force, X-Men, Image, cover variations, speculation, etc.

These videos were the coolest things, to be able to see these guys - McFarlane, Liefeld, Lee, Portacio, Romita, etc . - way before YouTube - drawing things out, seeing how they worked, listening to them talk. It was inspiring for a teenage kid who was starting to draw.

This was one of the coolest pieces I remembered, from the video 'How To Create a Comic Book'.

This video had Todd McFarlane and Rob Liefeld narrating a discussion on how to create a comic, and then Jim Lee and Whilce Portacio join in, and together all 4 guys work on ideas and drawings.

This was the best of the bunch, the cover of the video, where all 4 artists pencilled or inked different pieces(mainly Jim and Whilce).

Glad to see the artwork they did on comic book greats still exist. Being a teenager at the time these videos were like discovering the ark of the covenant.
