DescriptionOk, I don't use the term GRAIL very often. This folks is a grail! Finally I own a page from pretty much THE first comic I can recall buying and reading as a kid. Not originally in issue 40, but the reprint version in the early 70's. I bought this comic at the local pharmacy out of a comic vending machine..anyone else ever see one of these? A quarter bought you a lot back then. I must have read this story a thousand times and memorized every panel and page at 8 yrs of age when this came out. I met George a few years back and had him sign a fresher copy for me, which I framed with the page. Thanks to Phong for allowing me the chance to own a page from childhood! Social/Sharing |

Congratulations on grailing it up hardcore, Larry! It's true that every time a comic art collector acquires a long sought grail, you hear a bell, and an angel gets his wings. It's a happy tide that raises all boats in this nutty hobby!

Hey Bud, a very nice pull indeed. Congrats on the Grail, and on the fine touches that make this a great tale. One for the ages indeed, be it 8, or, well, however old we are...

Don Heck is one of my favorite artists and I think he was under rated for a long time. Pages like this show off how good he really was. Doesn't hurt that Tuska did the inks on this. Great pairing to create great art.

Very very cool page - I'm in the process of buying back all those old x-men comics that I sold years ago!

Congrats on owning a page from your first, bud. A true grail and one of the best reasons to ever collect original art!
