Description

Here is a vivacious and energetic pencil drawing of Tarzan (and Jane!) by one of the great ERB artists, Neal Adams. Illustration is 10 x 12" pencil on 12 x 14" cream paper, and was done in the 1970s. This will be published in the forthcoming Neal Adams book coming out in 2009.

Do you think it's possible that Neal drew this as a concept sketch for one of the novels that he lost the contract for to Boris Vallejo?

I'm not sure Ray...the previous owner thought it might be a concept drawing for Bo Derek's 1981 'Tarzan the Ape Man'... I'll try to find out.
