Description

I had always known that Michael Zulli was the perfect artist to recreate the scene from Sandman # 47 where Dream and Delirium go to visit Destiny. I had a vision in my head of the seven statues in the background with Dream talking to Destiny and Delirium playing with frogs or something. I imagined the commission to be done in pencil to reflect the gray tones of the statues and the classic feel of the garden. Instead Mr. Zulli painted this piece and it is absolutely a bazillion times cooler and more beautiful than anything I imagined. The colors are perfect and he did an amazing job capturing Destiny's garden and the statues. There is nothing about this that doesn't make me smile everytime I look at it. I am so in love with this commission!!! THIS is what I was hoping for when I started the series of scene recreations!!! Thank you Michael!!!

This is amazing! I just added it to my favorites as one of my favorite commissions I've seen on CAF! Not just Sandman commissions either. Anything! This is absolutely brilliant. Congratulations!!

Impressive - I hope you will allow DC to print it when sooner or later thay will do a REAL absolut edition of Sandman (no edition od Brief Lives may be absolut without this piece!!).

I've been back to see this piece in your gallery at least a dozen times. I am not that familiar with the subject matter but the image and the artistry here transcends the content. This is truly a fine art piece.
