Essex County #1 Cover recreation - Jeff Lemire

This is such an iconic image. I am not alone in having asked Jeff about this original piece but he is not selling it so after Duane got the next best thing, I decided to ask Jeff to do a retake on the cover. The image of a confused and scared boy trying to cope with unimaginable loss in his life through the persona of a superhero. The image of him standing in front of either a desolate field or a future of possibility is one of those glass half full, half empty images and I see the hope for something better in this piece.
