Minneapolis Comic Convention 1979 poster

In 1979, Rich Larson surrounded my face with this version of various comic characters, especially Wonder Woman. This was for our infamous Bob Clampett convention, where the Beany and Cecil creator was brought to town, in conjunction with the Walker Art Center. Also known as the convention where the hotel had not set up the dealer's room upon our early a.m. arrival...had actually set up the majority of the tables needed for dealers and artists for another gathering up stairs. But thru lots of help from early arrivals and yelling and shouting at the hotel, the show went on schedule. Needless to say, we pursued other venues the next year. Larson (of Fastner/Larson fame) did lots of posters and stuff for the comics community in the '70s.
