Description

Here are two stalwarts from the short-lived Atlas/Seaboard line of comics from the 1970s: Demon Hunter and Tiger Man.

Demon Hunter was actually the prototype for the Marvel character who came to be known as Devil Slayer. Creators David Anthony Kraft and Rich Buckler created DH, who was canceled after one issue. The changed the name and slightly changed the appearance, took him to Marvel, and the rest is history.

Tiger Man is one of those feral types who can change into a tiger/human hybrid -- at least I think he is. Please don't make me pull that issue out of storage in the name of accuracy.

Artwork by the great Steve Erwin, whose runs on DC's DEATHSTROKE and CHECKMATE series make him cooler than Mr. Freeze on an Antartic vacation.
