DescriptionAnother stupendous addition to my "Common Elements" commission series by Geof Isherwood, who previously contributed two pieces I would have thought couldn't be topped. This powerful pairing of Jack Kirby's Mister Miracle and Captain America's short-lived imitator/sidekick Free Spirit proved me wrong. Geof's gift for dynamic expression and fluid, accurate anatomy, combined with his graceful pencil technique, make this drawing a definite winner.The common element here is a tricky one -- as all Fourth World and JLA fans know, Mister Miracle's real name is Scott Free, and he's a professional escape artist. Who better to team him with than a heroine called Free Spirit? This is Common Elements #11. Social/Sharing |

Beautiful commission! Geof Isherwood is so amazingly talented. I miss his work in comic books. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who remembers Free Spirit.
