Nice way to break into the hobby with an Iron Man splash page that is nearly 40 years old! While Tuska does his usual nice job, Mooney's inks are especially nice here, nicely spotting the blacks and giving the page good depth. Congrats on a great pick up!

You are so right - the inks on this page are especially nice. The more I delve into the world of comic art, the more I see how important an inker really is. Before I owned comic art I never really had an appreciation for the inks.

Lee, Conway, Tuska, Mooney and Simek make a pretty darn good lineup. As noted, Mooney's inks really give Tuska's dynamic pencils a smooth look that enhance both the visual impact and the melodrama of the moment.
