"Healing" from Best Life Magazine by James Jean

One of the best things from SDCC is meeting artists that would be very difficult to meet elsewhere...like James Jean. He does live in LA and I did meet him at the Meltdown this past year but the Eisner Award Winning artist may be difficult to see again because rumors are that he will be doing less comic work. If it's true, it's our loss. There is something so organic, visceral, and sensual about his work. I stood in line to just get his signature and to my surprise he brought books of his original artwork for sale !!! Beautiful stuff but I felt a connection with a few pieces...Ironically, they were part of a "Healing" piece in Best Life magazine....Very Cool....Just what I needed. The other best thing....paying in line with my 3G phone via paypal....Dangerous !!! James sent me pics of the finished product. I love this prelim b/c it gives us non-artists some insight into his process...Thanks James, Beautifully Done !!!
