Weird Fantasy #21 hand colored print Severin/ Williamson/ Frazetta

This is a lithographed, hand colored print by Marie Severin, (#2 of several she did) of the cover to Weird Fantasy #21 (1953), painted and published in 1973, as a cover to EC Portfolio #3 published by Russ Cochran. I really loved these when they came out. Russ was a pioneer publisher and his beautiful publications and great taste really had a profound influence on my future collecting... EC art, Herriman, Frazetta, and Raymond.. I collect them all today....the large sized, exquisitely produced EC Portfolios really showed me, and countless other collectors what great original black and white art looked like. These portfolios are amongst the finest fan publications ever produced. ..so, this 'fanzine' cover is iconic for me...not to mention it is certainly beautifully colored by the original EC colorist, and Wiliamson's and Frazetta's fine line work work make this one of the top EC covers!
