DescriptionA couple of years before Watchmen and Dark Knight were released, Bill Willingham's The Elementals took the comic book hobby by storm and gave readers the first taste of how superheroes could be done in an adult manner. Had the rights to the characters not ended up with Andrew Rev when Comico went under, I firmly believe that Alan Moore himself would've eventually done something with the Elementals during the 90's and they'd probably still be published today. Unfortunately, Rev is apparently wealthy and would rather sit on the copyrights and do nothing with them than sell them. The comic book industry is all the poorer for it.If the owners of the covers to issues 2 and 3 want to do a deal for them, please let me know! Social/Sharing |

Very cool! I loved the Elementals series from Comico. That first issue with the white cover is really striking.

A wonderful piece. So few Elementals covers show up, and you've got #1, front & back! I'm jealous. Congrats.

This is such a cool cover--a trip down memory lane when independent comics such as this, the Adventurers, Elflord, TMNT were so popular. BTW, I love this!!!!

I bought this fun series off the stands at my LCS back in the 1980's; congratulations on a terrific cover that brings back many nostalgic memories!

A fantastic series. I managed to pick it up in discount bins in '97-'98 (when it seemed like everything published after 1975 was available in discount bins). This is awesome to see!

I've been waiting to post on this, Ruben, until I could find the appropriate words, and I just... Can't. Absolutely gorgeous. Absolutely classic. Mega-congrats on this masterpiece, sir!

I would dare say, probably your most historic piece (on CAF).
I loved early Willigham art when he was so influenced by (early) Michael Golden art.

Fantastic! Boy these took me back. The Elementals is a fond '80s memory. Too bad they were discontinued. They had such potential.

Can't believe I haven't commented on this before. As good an '80s indy #1 cover as any. What a magical time, with this book one of the absolute highlights.

Don't let it be forgot, that once there was a spot on the comic book shelves, for one brief shining moment, that was known as... Comico's Elementals.
