Description

One of the highlights of my collection! Reginald Heade was the King of British paperback art in the 1940's-50's and this is a great example. A few of these turned up 20 years years ago at a British auction and they have all been held in private collections since. These never come up for sale, so I was thrilled to get this a few years ago from a British book dealer.

I'm not familiar with Heade, but what a stunning piece--and I love that the title is and author is all done as part of the artwork.

Remember seeing a Heade come up for auction at Christie's, London, years ago. Beautiful work, congrats!
