Description

Not long after DEADLY BELOVED was solicited for sale I saw Terry Beatty at the Minnesota FallCon, and I asked him if the original painting might be avilable for sale. Terry said that he was keeping it, but that if he didn't he couldn't sell the original without risking his life to the wrath of Max Allan Collins, who wrote the story. When Terry offered the preliminary to the cover for sale in May 2010, I had to pounce on it!

I like her face better in the prelim. She looks 'harder'. It's beautiful both ways. Sorry you couldn't get the painting too.

Eventually Terry relented and sold me the painting as well!
